The loss of 2-player simultaneous play hurts, but otherwise the classic arcade gameplay of Final Fight is completely intact. SNES Final Fights never began to rival this NES version until the—pardon the pun—mighty Final Fight 3, which earned its place in the top 10 beat 'em ups. For some odd reason it was impossible for early SNES carts to contain all three characters—guess they were too powerful for primitive storage technology. Yet strangely, this NES cart managed to harness the power of all three protagonists and push the old-school architecture to new heights. Gotta love the super-deformed art style two.
